The Soft Machine, having subtly changed guitarists and possibly organists, are currently in the process of setting up a European tour with jazz multi-instrumentalist Roland Kirk.

The group did not appear on the Tom Shannon show on the 29th as Scot was too “sick” and they were told by the shows producer, at the last moment to do two songs instead of one. As this was obviously out of the question, Larry Feldman, the groups “manager”, said they could only do one whereupon he was told “You do both — or none!” Larry was quite pleased to say “none”.
