NIGHTWATCH - (AVE) - Nigh twatch is another “Do not reveal the ending of the movie” movie. Liz Taylor stars as a shrill and tormented woman who is plagued by insomnia and nightmarish flashbacks of her first husband’s infidelity. During one of her sleepless bouts, she sees a murdered man in the abandoned house next door. Trouble is no one else saw it or can find the body. Not Lawrence Harvey, her current emasculated husband, not Billie Whitelaw, her lusty school chum, not even the skeptical police inspector.
The freakish flashbacks persist and Liz sees another body. This time it’s a woman. Same Story: she is the only one who saw it. Is she hallucinating, or the victim of a rude plan to drive her mad.
In the last knee-knocking nine minutes of this chiller, the REAL victim is revealed. Here’s a clue. It was Mrs. Peacock, in the Conservatory, with the knife.
