Cookin’ With Tapco

Well, as it turns out, Mt. Saint Helens is not the only thing cookin’ in the state of Washington. Seems like there is a factory up there in Redmond by the name of Tapco, and they make some mighty fine audio equipment, in spite of the volcanic ash.

The latest products from up Redmond way are the Series 72 and Series 74 mixing consoles, and boy howdy, have they put some work into these units! I’ve chosen the series 7216 to take a look at here, because it is big enough and flexible enough for club work, which is what most musicians do anyway, so it should be of interest to a lot of you who are looking for a better board.

The 7216 is, as you might have already guessed, a 16-channel stereo mixing console. Aside from being well-built and rugged with incredibly low noise output, this mixer is one of the most flexible units I have ever seen; certainly it will do more than most any other unit in its class.
