John Cougar was a bit naughty at a concert in London, Ontario, recently; he threw a drum set into the audience (reportedly injuring two women with cymbals), kicked in one of the headlining Beach Boys’ monitors, and stalked offstage. Seems that Cougar felt the promoter was “ripping off the kids” by making him play a shortened set.

John Cougar was a bit naughty at a concert in London, Ontario, recently; he threw a drum set into the audience (reportedly injuring two women with cymbals), kicked in one of the headlining Beach Boys’ monitors, and stalked offstage. Seems that Cougar felt the promoter was “ripping off the kids” by making him play a shortened set. Later, Cougar was interviewed on the CBS Nightwatch news program. When the TV hack began probing the discrepancy between John’s “street image” and his “middle class background,” Cougar shouted for his manager, mumbled a few obscenities:, announced that the interview was over, and stormed off the set. And it wasn’t even 60 Minutes!
