BANGLES
In almost no time at all, the world has developed a love affair with the Bangles. And it’s no wonder: with their charm, talent and international smash hits, like "Walk Like An Egyptian” and “Manic Monday,” the latter which was written by an avid Bangles-fan, Prince. Debbi and Vicki Peterson, Susanna Hoffs and Michael Steele are four fun females who deliver sunny rock ’n’ roll and honeyed harmonies—the tell-tale trademarks of the group’s two albums, Different Light and All Over The Place.
“Right from the start there was a certain chemistry,” enthuses Vicki. “The vocal harmonies came together immediately and we knew we had a special musical communication.”
With four hit singles and a doubleplatinum album tucked under their belts, the Bangles are now venturing towards new horizons: they’ve done a “duet” with the Hoodoo Gurus, Susanna starred in the motion picture The Allnighter (directed by her mom) and Debbi is in a Slice soft drink commercial! There’s no stopping the Bangles now.
