HIDE THE PURINA! ITS THE PET SHOP BOYS
It’s tea time here in London. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are eating scones and dainty white sandwiches. Neil is chomping unashamedly, while Chris is making nice crenulations around the edges. Chris used to study architecture, Neil used to be a pop journalist and an editor at Smash Hits.

In the spring of ’85, they became the Pet Shop Boys, released “(Opportunities) Let’s Make Lots Of
Money” which didn’t really make lots in England’ then “West End Girls,” which, of course,°did. (The order was reversed in the States.) They’ve just released, a new LP, Actually.
What would you say about this record, Neil, if it landed on your old desk at Smash'Hits?* v «
