Grace is a rocker—more Motörhead than Modest Mouse. A punk for life, when Grace isn’t slaying in her ripper band Phantasia (whose LP Ghost Stories was one of our favorite records of 2022), you can catch her writing about music and culture at The Guardian, the Toronto Star, Vice, and more. You’ve probably read her shit already, maybe even in CREEM. But there are a lot of lames out there, so maybe not. Are you one of them?

MAXWELL CANN, WRITER

The Notorious B.I.G. once said, “Either you’re writing about rock or you got a wicked jump shot." Or something like that. Regardless, this native New Yorker has logged a decade of late nights in independent music, whether that’s booking full U.S. tours, doing sound at sick gigs, or writing about some band that you’ll appreciate in five years. Lately, Cann is living the hard-knock life of criticism, where he spews venom in between pickup basketball games.
