The other day in a CREEM meeting a new feature was proposed: Stars Eating Chili Dogs. I know that sounds a bit cuckoo in la cabeza, but these stars are starting to hurt our fragile egos, and it’s payback time.

Grace Bowers might have been the proverbial straw that broke the metaphorical camel’s ego. Here she is melting a sectional couch away, though maybe it’s just that super sweet tee (AHEM). The soulful, blues-inflected guitar deity released her debut LP with the Hodge Podge called Wine on Venus in 2024, and ever since, she’s been impressing anyone who remotely calls themself a fan of guitar music. Grace is 19, but

inside this young ’un is a big riff lord who can probably put your favorite guitar player under the table. Eddie? Stevie? Jimi? B.B.? YouTube didn’t exist when they were growing up.
