ROCK A RAMA
Bring Us the Head of Andrew Watt! Strokes vs. Charli XCX vs. Deep Purple vs. Cheekface vs. Vince Staples— whose rock is the hottest?? Whose diamonds are the hackiest??? Which G.O.A.T. is the head, and which ones are the soup????

FOREIGN TONGUES
The Rolling Stones
Polydor
Andrew Watt produced, engineered, and mixed this entire album. What does it actually sound like? It sounds like the last one, which was also produced by Andrew Watt. On Foreign Tongues, he has cowriting credits on two songs. He played electric guitar on seven more, percussion on five, acoustic guitar on three, bass on one, piano on three, synthesizer on four, and sang background vocals on eight. You’d almost think that the Watt-revitalized Stones had not so much remortgaged their souls as bought out the crossroads entirely, paved it, built a museum to themselves on top, and let the Devil stick around handing out moist towelettes in the unisex bathroom. No need to break out the Ouija board to guess what Lester Bangs would say about all this. -ZACHARY LIPEZ
