MATT HOFFMAN, WRITER

In 1994, a teenage Matt Hoffman bought his first CD, The Lion King: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Soon after, he bought Stone Temple Pilots’ Purple and decided that if anyone asked, he’d say that was the first CD he ever bought. (Nobody ever asked.) Eventually he went to college and law school, then spent 17 years in the corporate world. Now he’s a university professor, music journalist, and host of the Bub & Pop podcast, named in memory of his grandparents.

LUKE IVANOVICH, PHOTOGRAPHER

Luke Ivanovich is a photographer and mixed-media artist who is definitely way too proud of being from New Jersey. Ivanovich began shooting on Polaroids but decided to work in the notoriously cheaper mediums of digital cameras, 35mm film, and LaserJet printers. Luke has worked with bands from all genres, ranging from shoegaze to death metal to free jazz to power pop. And if there’s a band that mixes all four, he’d be down to shoot them, too.
