The occasion was a party Elton John threw for about 200 friends on an empty, parking lot at the Universal Studios in Los Angeles. To celebrate the opening of his big tour, Elton threw a "bizarre carnival" complete with ferris wheel and cotton candy. A splendid time was had by all — except, apparently, Tatum O'Neil, the sole spoilsport. Tatum, whose halter top kept slipping down to around her waist, pronounced the affair "kid stuff."
